March 23, Milan – VII Meeting of the Network of Mediterranean Arbitration Centres

On March 23, 2018, the Milan Chamber of Arbitration hosted the 7th Meeting of the Network of the Mediterranean Arbitration Centres coordinated by ISPRAMED.

All the following arbitral institutions participated into the work with a delegate:

  • the Arbitration Centre of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce
  • the Arbitration Court of Morocco
  • the Arbitration and Mediation Centre of Tunis
  • the Centre for Arbitration and Conciliation of the  Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Algiers
  • the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration
  • the Lebanese Arbitration and Mediation Center of the Beirut Chamber of Commerce
  • the Milan Chamber of Arbitration (hosting institution)

As usual, the Meeting focused on a principle (topic of the discussion) regarding arbitration practice to be discussed among the Members. This year the principle which will be analysed is time of the arbitral proceedings.

The result of the informal discussion and of the following work of comparison of rules and praxis will consist in a Report which highlights the best practices to be applied in the daily management of arbitral cases.

Le dernier 23 Mars 2018, la Chambre d’Arbitrage de Milan a accueilli la 7ème Réunion du Réseau des Centres d’Arbitrage de la Méditerranée coordonné par ISPRAMED.

Toutes les institutions arbitrales suivantes ont participé aux travaux avec un délégué, en particulier:

Comme d’habitude, le débat s’est concentré sur un des principes (sujet de conversation) concernant la pratique arbitrale et qui doit être discuté par les Membres. Cette année le principe qui doit être analysé c’est le temps des procédures d’arbitrage.

Le résultat de la discussion informelle et du travail de comparaison des règles et des praxis sera condensé dans un Rapport qui met en évidence les meilleures pratiques à appliquer dans la gestion quotidienne des cas d’arbitrage.

New Articles – Network of Mediterranean Arbitration Centres

We inform you that two articles have been published within the section “NETWORK”.

The author of both of them is the Valentina Renna, ISPRAMED Advisor for the Network, under the supervision of Prof. Charles Jarrosson, Coordinator of the Network. They appeared in English on the Journal of Arab Arbitration and in French on the Revue de l’Arbitrage.

The articles show the methodology applied to the work of comparison of Rules and Practices and the results achieved so far by the working group, corresponding to shared principles in managing arbitration cases.

25 giugno 2013, Milano, Seminario “MEDEA Co-sviluppo tra Milano e Marocco: opportunità e prospettive future”

Il prossimo 25 giugno, presso la sede dell’Unione Artigiani in via Doberdò 16 a Milano, si terrà un momento di incontro e scambio tra i diversi attori e partner del progetto “Dall’idea all’impresa: co-sviluppo tra Lombardia e Tadla Azilal”, promosso dall’associazione Medinaterranea  nell’ambito del Bando 2010 del Comune di Milano per il Co-sviluppo. Interverranno sia esponenti delle istituzioni del territorio lombardo e milanese sia esponenti delle istituzioni marocchine, nell’intento comune di illustrare le possibilità di cooperazione economica tra i due Paesi.

Per ISPRAMED interverrà l’avvocato Daniela Morante, attualmente Consigliere dell’istituto, con un intervento che illustrerà lo scambio di buone pratiche in relazione agli strumenti ADR nel Mediterraneo.
